3 girls + 1 camera= far too many photos!

A few days ago, Violet, a friend of ours and I headed out on another impromptu photoshoot. And we took over 200 photos all up! Some of them are pretty awful, I'll admit, but some of them turned out really well! Here are some of my favourites :D
Violet and our friend! Aren't they beautiful?!
I love this one! I have such beautiful friends <3

It was a really hot day, and the water was so
nice... So I went right in!
And since I was already soaked....
...a water fight ensued!
Hahaha!

Then we migrated to dry land, and found a cool bench on the
path!

Yes, we did all wear blue on purpose!

Violet got a bit creative with this particular poppy!

All in all, we had a great time, got really sunburnt and took far too many photos!! But I hope you enjoy them anyway :)
God bless,

The Author of Life

From the beginning of time, God has been writing the story of this world.
And He has a special little part for you! You have your own story, written for you by the Great Author of life Himself.

The catch is....
He doesn't tell you the whole story at once, just bit by bit. And it hardly ever goes how you think it will.

Sometimes, it is hard to trust God with what He is doing, especially if we don't like where it it seems to be going, or if we can't tell at all!

We try to "snatch back the pen" and write our own version.
I've done that. Many times. And let me assure you, it never works
And God's way is always better. I've seen that for a fact in my own life!
I'm writing this as much for myself as anyone else...

Trust God with your life, with your story. Even if you can't see it yet, our God can see the big picture. He has it covered.

Give your worries over to Him, ask for His courage as you wait on His will.

It is worth the wait.
Every time.
Our God isn't in the business of writing fairytales that will never happen, He writes uniquely beautiful realities for each of us.

At the end of the day, I may be a daydreamer, but I'd choose a God-reality over a fairytale. Every time!

Another of Daisy's adventures

Well, hello there, our dearest readers! I'm just back from a wonderful adventure - this last weekend I has the wonderful privilege of attending, and competing in, the New Zealand Aria competition! It was held in a town called Rotorua, which just happens to be the tourist capital of the country, thanks to it's incredible geothermal features. I'm going to try and cut down my hundreds of photos to just a few of the best ones, to give you all a glimpse of my adventure! Okay, here we go...

One of my performance outfits - I know it kinda
looks like I'm in mourning - it was better without
the cardi, but I was cold haha
The first two days were just spent competing. I didn't sing my best, so I was a little disappointed, but I really enjoyed the experience. The second day I was singing in the category above my age group, which was absolutely amazing!! Really inspiring hearing so many incredible vocalists.

The next day, Mum and I went exploring, and visited a geothermal site called Wai-o-tapu. You can read more about it here: It was just amazing! So many incredible, natural wonders! As I was walking through there, I couldn't help but sing "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come! With all creation I sing, praise to the King of Kings. You are my everything, and I will adore You." (Lyrics from Revelation Song - one of my all-time favourite worship songs!) It really felt like all of creation there was calling out to praise the Lord in that place. It was just so incredible. The raw power of the earth, the beautiful, awe-inspiring wonder of all the geothermal sites provided the venue for one of the best "worship services" I've ever had the privilege of attending!
Boiling mud!! :O
Steam rising above the hillside
A boiling pool
Beautiful, right?

Sulphur Cave
That evening, we attended the New Zealand Aria Senior finals. It was absolutely amazing!! :D Such incredible singing, as well as we got to hear the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, which was super cool! Wish I could find some recordings to share with you all!
All ready to go!
The next day, we headed back home, but before we left Rotorua, we went back to Waiotapu to witness the geyser erupting.

All in all, it was a most exciting weekend, one I will definitely never forget! Can't wait for NZ Aria '14!
God bless,
